Socially responsible businesses will continue to be a force for good in our future economy, because of this, “The Good Pencil Company” aims to reward those with a passion for social entrepreneurship & who have demonstrated a drive & determination to succeed while helping others.

• Do you have dreams of eventually starting your own socially responsible business?  

The Good Pencil Company wants to help! We are offering a $250 scholarship to a student interested in pursuing careers as entrepreneurs with an emphasis on social entrepreneurship. With this scholarship we aim to recognize contributions small businesses make to their communities, as well as, motivate and support aspiring business owners!

• Scholarship Qualifications
  • Must be a full-time student who is 18 years or older.
  • Must submit a 600-800 word essay and must address the following questions:
    • If you have yet to start a business:
      • “Why are you passionate about starting, or eventually starting, a socially responsible business?
      • How will this scholarship help you to succeed in school, and later in life as a social entrepreneur?
    • If you have already started a business:
      • Tell us about your experiences with your socially responsible business venture.
      • What motivated you to help others?
      • How is your business currently making a difference in your community?
      • What are your goals for the future of your company?
